21/02/2010

GoogleMaps is nice for planing trips in Norway, however, kart.finn.no is even better. For instance, at some places GoogleMaps has no real detailed maps for zooming – kart.finn.no has! So give it a try!

Last days in Norway

Norway – trip to Lillehammer

08/02/2010

Last saturday, I went out to Lillehammer with a couple of friends. We went hiking in the near forest areas searching for the “Olympic Man”. Perhaps you heard about this: The Norwegians cut a pattern into the woods  which looks like an olympic man. We totally failed to reach it, but the trip was nice although.

Stephan, a cute guy from Czech Republic also made several pictures which can be viewed here. To give you just a short impression of the beautiful countryside, here is another video:

There were especially two places which are worth to be noticed. First, the GPS coordinates of the place where we parked the car:

N 61.21098
E 10.41887

Second, the coordinates of a few huts placed near a small lake. There is also a public tent which can be used for making fire or even sleep in it. Awesome place! You can see it in the photo gallery.

E 10.39078
